when Meta first came to live with us as a two-month-old puppy, pollee’s folks gave her what came to be known as “the Ellie toy”. So named after Jim’s prized hunting yellow Lab, Ellie, who had used the toy during her early months.
We figured if the thing had endured that much abuse then Meta would surely make nary a dent in it.
How wrong we were!
So, when they came to visit us this weekend and brought a new one for Meta’s delight, we thought we’d take before and after pictures to see how the thing fares :

Needless to say, our quest for a truly indestructible chew toy continues…
