We’ve both heard and read that not all rawhide chews are the same. Apparently, American rawhide chews are produced under somewhat more strict quality standards without chemical additives. Rawhide bones and chews made in third world countries, not so much.
Pups chew. Like some people read or others watch tv.
If that’s true, best to not intentionally let them suck on something that’s been bleached.
