meta : locksmith

Jen and Phole are on their way to live and work near the hahbah in Bahston!

We celebrated with them on Tuesday night before they set off on their long journey, but not without helping workaround a glitch here and there ; )

Above you can enjoy a quick, stop-motion memory of the two of them discovering they’d successfully locked themselves out of their garage.

Fortunately, Meta was able to help them figure out the fit of the lock was just a lil on the tight side, which means it’ll fit juuuust right come winter.

Just like that, problem solved – which has me feeling that’s how smoov things will go for them in MA.

Safe journey – we’ll be out to visit soon : )

games : Bocce’

Pups seem to just automatically know how to chase and retrieve balls, frisbees, sticks, whatever.

Teaching them NOT to chase and retrieve a roundish, rolling object, however, might be tricky.

We took Meta and her pal Theo out while we played Bocce’ Ball with some pals this past weekend and it wasn’t as tricky as we thought :

places : vet

Meta and Pollee at the vet

Meta has had some trouble with her eyes for the past week or so, with some goop-ish stuff in them that we thought might clear up on its own. When she started rubbing them every so often, we thought we should keep a close watch on her.

When it didn’t go away and about a week had gone by, we decided it best to take her to see the vet.

They ran all kinds of tests on the brave lil girl, all of which were negative to corneal scratches, glaucoma, et al.

The vet’s conclusion was that it could be attributed to some antibiotics she was on before we went to Alaska, which often create these kinds of side effects. Otherwise, it could be an allergy. Too early to tell.

In the meantime, we’re charged with applying two varieties of eye drops twice daily : Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment and then Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension USP, 1% five minutes or so after.

We can already tell she’s feeling better.
